This is something you wont find in many place. AS We are redoing the billing system so as the plans, I wan your opinion for various package. Create some nice plan or package and post it here. We will be creating packages from your suggestion. We are planning to provide 3-5 kind of packages of various aspect. We are going to provide packages from small to unmetred solution. This is what i need your help with. Come up with some packages. When you keep a package make sure you have this in mind- Forced ad or Forum Post Or a Small yearly/monthly fee. You can create features with various aspect like limiting transfer database etc. But all of the package has to mention one of the three thing. or may be all of them. You come up with plan! We make it true! You have one week. After that me and the rest of the team will setup multiple packages from that and will post a poll to select and use the highest ones!! Starter Plan 150MB of disk space 15GB of bandwidth (most of the sites won't use even 5GB of monthly bandwidth, but some of them needs a little more) 2 Subdomains 3 MySQL databases 2 FTP accounts Other options - unlimited (email accounts, addon domains, etc.) Cost: 10 forum posts per month or banner ad (not the automatic, where system puts banners on every page header, etc. but optional, where user can choose even small banners (100x80 or something similar)) That's my opinion for Starter plan (because I would choose this one :)) One suggestion, some hosts (even free ones) has remote MySQL access enabled. Could you do this too? :s (if not for everybody then individually, by user's request, and no additional fee please)

Hmm Not bad. Just 15gb bandwidth is too much but if some one is willing to post 10 quality post a month why not? Remote mysql has a security issue. ALso Creates a security breech. But I will keep in mind. And might enable depending on user need.

Just need the starter pack. 100mb of space, 5gb of bandwidth, 1 mysql db, 1 ftp, 2 subdomains. Would pay almost $10 annually. Really I'd just pay $7 because 100mb isn't a lot of space. Must have at least a catch-all e-mail account. P.S. Never add banners. The web is crappy enough as it is.

Starter Plan 300MB of disk space 5GB of bandwidth 2 Subdomains 2 MySQL databases 1 FTP account 10 post per month. 100MB is really nothing... 300mb is enough for any website. Honestly, I don't believe in post more than 10... Some us don't really like forums. So, 10 quality posts is enough.

This plan would be ok, if there would be at least 2 FTP accounts and 2 MySQL databases. And at least 3GB of bandwidth would be good. That's what I think :)

SSh wont be enabled( It can ruin the server if falls into wrong hand. For 10/mo I can offer a vps of same service.) Same for remote mysql.

Well, I'm no expert on hosting, but I'm already using: 850 MB disk 1250 MB Bandwidth 6 email accounts 20 subdomains 6 SQL databases So, perhaps I'd like: 2 GB disk 10 GB Bandwidth 10 email accounts 50 subdomains 20 SQL databases I don't really mind a reasonable post count, as long as it allows people to be off the air for a month or so at a time, and as long as there are people here to talk to! And/or a small fee.

Sorry, SeriesN, I got interrupted before I got to that bit, and pressed the Post button by accident. I've come back and edited the above. Post2Host: As you can see, I did more than my post2host requirement anyway, but some members really felt embarrassed that they couldn't think of enough sensible things to say. Paid4: Equally, some very good members in the past were students, and they contributed a lot on the forum, but students' money is tight. So any fee will lose potential members to another free host (possibly you under another name!) Ads: I do not have ads on my present sites, not even AdSense or Chitika. But some members are happy to advertise HostCell even if not required. I think the packages on offer should be a choice of posts or paid or ads to maximise your uptake, if you can organise it. BTW the forum went off the air for a minute or two some twenty minutes ago. Also I have a new item on my screen "HcMoney" and wonder what it is.
