Is the thread "views" counter working?

If you select to "View Today's Posts", it shows all the threads with new posts today. It has columns for "Replies" and "Views". The strange thing is, that many threads have 3 times as many replies as views. That seems illogical. Shouldn't there be at least as many views as replies, and possibly a lot more?

i remember reading about that feature being broken a while ago. could be it's been half fixed?

most threads havethe same people talking in them and since the thread views are based off unique views and not how many times you refresh the page.

Do you mean that anybody who posts on a thread is not counted as a viewer? And that anybody viewing a thread is counted only once, no matter how many times they come back to view the updated thread?

i meant in the matter of unique views like how a web page gets.
