The Japanese Anime is about a hikikomori named Sato. A hikikomori or NEET(Not in employment, education, or training) is someone who does not go out of his house to find a job or go to school for over 6 months, A.K.A slacker.

PLOT

Sato has been a hikikomori for 4 years after dropping out from college and lives alone in an apartment. Does not go out of house other than to buy food when no people are around. His parents is supporting his expenses. Then he met Misaki who is distributing flyers with her aunt. Misaki made a deal with him to meet him at the park to teach him how to get out of his hikikomori lifestyle, sort of a therapy for him. To avoid signing up with the deal he told her that he is working home as a developer for a software company. Then he met his neighbor after finally having enough with the noises next to his room. Only to realize that his neighbor is his old fellow highschool literature club member, Yamazaki. Yamazaki is a game design student. Sato and Yamazaki agreed to work together to create a game (with the erotic genre) and prove Misaki that Sato has a job. But their cover was exposed and finally got Sato convinced to sign up for the therapy deal with Misaki. While Yamazaki had Sato convinced to go to the city to find inspiration for their game development, they met their senpai(senior literature club member), Hitomi. Hitomi had problems with his boyfriends, and drug addiction. She was then hooked up online to what is called "offline meeting", a club of few members who's undergoing depression and finally decided to have suicide together in a hidden island resort. Hitomi invited Sato who was clueless about the agenda, Hitomi thought Sato needed it too. Before the group decided to jump off a cliff, Hitomi's boyfriend, and Yamazaki, and Misaki was able to stop them.

In the final episodes, Misaki tried to commit a suicide by jumping off a cliff where her mother jumped off when she was just a kid. Sato tried to stop her but could not find a reason to convince her. Out of desperation, he told her about his delusions of a conspiracy against hopeless people, called NHK and it was necessary for him to jump off a cliff to save her from it. But it was a failed attempt, the cliff was notorious for suicides and the local government constructed a net in the side of the cliff to catch the jumpers. Sato didn't saw it. Because of that he was able to convince Misaki that he needed her. And they live happily ever after. THE END. :)

My Review

It was a great anime, my favorite now. It has a touch of darkness, psychological, drama, comedy, and nerdiness. Plus some touch of naughtiness as well. ;)

This was one of the lol moments, when Sato found out that the girl in the game that he was in to was actually his neighbor, Yamazaki.
How miserable and he thought he's going to earn money by playing games.

Sato and Yamazaki's crazy heroin concept.
