I am looking into buying the Archos G9 as my new tablet and was just wondering if anyone here has tried it out and if it is better than some other options like Blackberry playbook?

Why not get a ipad? If not get galaxy tab.

I did not buy it but i know it is good price / quality and it is cheaper than ipad and galaxy tab...

Ah, I would have got the galaxy tab, but it was a little bit too expensive. I am waiting for the next ASUS Transformer.

How about the 1.2 Ghz Android 4 Ainol Novo 7 Elf (with HDMI out) for under $150 US?

(Best avoid the earlier $99 Paladin variation [world's first Android 4 tablet] as it apparently has some compatibility issues due to its MIPS processor.)
